Where would we BEE without pollinators? ππ―π»
We had a buzzing morning at school yesterday as our pupils delivered their speeches for this year’s Environmental Youth Speak competition! Their ideas, confidence and passion for protecting our precious pollinators were absolutely inspiring. ππ
A huge thank you to Joe and Nuala McMullan, our wonderful local beekeepers, for coming along to listen to the speeches. They very kindly shared their expertise, answered lots of brilliant questions, and helped our pupils understand just how important bees are to our planet. ππΏ
They even brought along some of their own organic honey for the children to sample — it was a real treat! π― And as an extra special surprise, they gifted every child a beautiful beeswax candle, made from their very own local beeswax. π―οΈπ
We are so grateful for their generosity and support!
A massive well done to all our speakers — you made us so proud. β
And a special congratulations to Toby, who has been chosen to go forward and represent our school in the next stage of the competition! ππ
Let’s keep learning, planting, and protecting our pollinating friends! ππ
