Vet visit
15th Oct 2025
Today was an exciting day in Primary 1/2. The pupils welcomed a special visitor into the classroom - a local vet and parent Nuala Fitszimons - who came to talk about her job and how she helps animals. Nuala arrived wearing her uniform and brought along a big box filled with interesting tools and equipment she uses in the animal clinic. She showed the children lots of different bandages, protective clothing and even her stethoscope. The children were amazed to learn that vets help lots of different animals from cats and dogs to sheep, cows, tortoises and even snakes. The children asked lots of questions about being a vet and enjoyed talking about their own pets. It was a fantastic visit that helped the children understand how vets play an important role in keeping animals healthy and happy. We would like to say a big thank you to Nuala for taking the time to chat with the pupils in our school.
