Today we celebrated ‘Jeans for genes day’ in St Malachy’s. The boys and girls were allowed and encouraged to wear jeans or denims to school instead of their school uniform to raise awareness for different genetic conditions. We had a short assembly this morning about genes and how they make us all different. Genes are the tiny instructions inside your body’s cells that determine your unique traits, like eye colour, hair texture and even how you might laugh. They children carried out different fun activities to mark the day. Well done boys and girls on all being completely unique. ❤️💚👖👖👖
