First Holy Communion in Kilclief
It was a truly wonderful morning in Kilclief as we celebrated First Holy Communion with our Primary 4 pupils. The occasion was filled with joy, reverence, and pride as the children marked this very special milestone in their faith journey.
A sincere thank you to our school choir for their beautiful music, led by Mrs McMullan, which added so much to the celebration, and to the class teacher, Miss Moore, for her dedication and care in preparing the pupils so thoughtfully for this sacrament. We are also very grateful to Mrs Fitzsimons for her invaluable help in organising the event and supporting the girls with their work, displays, and practices leading up to the day. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the priest, Fr Aidan, for leading such a meaningful and memorable ceremony. A special thank you to our different photographers who captured every special part of the day and to Daniel Cultra for individually thanking all the members of the choir with a hug after the service.
Our four girls did a fantastic job throughout the ceremony—they sang beautifully, read the prayers with confidence, and carried out the offertory and Marian procession to the May altar with such grace and reverence. They all looked absolutely stunning, and we are immensely proud of each and every one of them.
The celebrations continued afterwards in the school dinner hall, where the girls thoroughly enjoyed the special treats and time together. Thank you to everyone who kindly made and donated food, and to the staff who helped serve refreshments—your generosity and support are deeply appreciated.
Well done, girls—you made it a day to remember in the parish. Enjoy the rest of your special day!
